Model tests are designed to deliver images that expand and build up your portfolio. The purpose of each shoot is to get dynamic images that showcase your range and ability as a model. We focus on getting distinctly different looks to maximize the variety and usefulness of the imagery. As a photographer, I aim to create a collaborative atmosphere where you should feel safe to experiment and play knowing that I will be there to help with feedback and advice as needed. Most of all, I want you to have a great time and walk away with beautiful images.

Step 1: Connect

My clients are confident and driven. They are looking to create images that showcase where they want to be not where they are now. When you reach out, let me know about your journey and what your goals are.

Step 2: Decide on the looks Or Location

The goal with each session is to give you as much variety as possible in the imagery, and try to keep that in mind through out the planning process. How can we make each look as different as possible from the last? Maybe one is super feminine and the next is a cool atheisure set. Maybe one has a lot of color and the next is more muted… I’d love to talk with you about what you envision for you book (or what your agent would love to see in it). I have a TON of mood boards you can look at if you are need some Inspo!

Step 3: Make a shoot plan

Once the ideas are finalized, I use them to build the shoot logistics. We can talk about how to make the most of your session whether that is hiring a team or giving you some advice on wardrobe.

Step 4: Create

Time to create! Come with an open mind, willingness to step out of your comfort zone and have fun. I am there to give you a lot of advice, feedback, and to make you feel supported.

Step 5: Retouch

Editing is such a huge part of my work. I call myself a photographer, which is funny because the majority of my time is spent in front of the computer editing. A lot of work goes into making each image perfect including color correction, skin and body retouching, removing distraction and other creative changes.

Stylist Vs. Styling yourself

I don't mean to sound dramatic BUT clothing can make or break a shoot. You are getting into the fashion industry and shouldn't overlook your wardrobe.

Hiring a muah

The general rule is for make up and hair to be fairly natural on model test. You are welcome to do it yourself, but only if you feel skilled enough to do so.

keeping an open mind

Trying new things is always tough, but walk in knowing everyone in the room wants you to succeed. As the photographer, I want to see your walls to come down and for you to really express yourself.

-Can I make my own selects from my Session? Can I have all the raws? You can, but there are additional fees involved. Ask me about it at booking.

- What is required for booking? As soon as we have decided on a date and time for your shoot, you can pay the required deposit and sign the contract you will be officially booked!

-If we cancel our booking will we receive our deposit back? In case you cancel you will not receive your deposit back. This covers any loss in the form of lost bookings and work done before the actual session. However, we understand that unforeseen events can happen, so we try to work on alternatives if possible – e.g. find a new date for a session.

- Does your studio do headshots, individual portraits, family portraits, newborn shoots, commercial photography, or other types of photography? Yes, we have experience in many fields of photography. Feel free to contact me.
