My name is Katie Parker and I have been taking pictures now for about 5 years. It all started with a small point 'n shoot camera and a trip to london, the next thing I knew I was hooked for life. I followed this love of mine shooting pictures for a few years in my home town of Dallas Georgia before it lead me out to Los Angles where I am living now. I guess you could say I have broadedend my horizons a little by graduating from the New York Film Academy's Cinematography program. Im not sure what the future will bring but I am excited about starting a new chapter in my life!

Things to Know...
~ I am a freelance cinematographer/photographer serving Los Angeles, California. I also take quarterly trips to Atlanta, Georgia. ~Interested in booking? Check my Calendar under the "CONTACT US" tab to check availability or to see when I have trips planned for Georgia, then send me a message or give me a call!Photography:~What should I wear? Deciding what to wear is always a difficult decision. One thing you should consider is what the pictures are for? If the purpose is to have them framed over the living room fireplace you might should take into account the colors and style of the room. If the pictures are just for fun, let your personality shine through. Wear clothes that you love and feel good in. Kids are especially fun, Do they like to dress up? Have an active imagination? Bring them into the decision process! -Bring several options and a variety! You can change as many times as you like to take the time to do so! I recommend no more that 2 or 3 with kids, as they do sometimes get frustrated with the hassle of changing.-Instead of matching, try wearing clothes that are complementary in style or color-Try to avoid: white, bold patterns, tube tops and mini skirts... ~ What should I expect?Fun. The point of my shoots are to let you relax and have a good time. Capturing your personality and relationships rather than stiff poses and fake trees. The goal is you feeling as special and beautiful as you are! After each shoot you should expect your edited CD in 2 weeks!~Where do I shoot?Since I am living in Callifornia and just graduated from a cinematography program, I have been working more in film than photography. But I am willing to shoot ANYWHERE! (The Georgia Special! For those Georgia clients interested in me to shoot their wedding, there is NO extra charge for the travel!)
~I do most of my shoots in natural light, outside on location. I do not have a studio, but can always do family or infant shoots at your home!~The best time of the day for pictures is in the morning or right around sunset when the light is softer.~I have clients sign model release forms at every shoot. This is to legally allow us to show your images online with our blog, and website. ~You are always welcome to bring fun props! They help add a since of fun, personality and character to your pictures
